Project Objective

Recreate 19th century America through a Board Game, where groups will develop and execute a playful scenario, addressing two specific historical contexts: the westward expansion in the United States and the independence of Latin American nations.

In addition to creating the game, groups will need to produce a detailed report, following the previously given guidelines.

Detailed Project Description

Divided into groups of 3 to 5 students, the task will be to create a board game that represents these two important historical moments in 19th century America. During the game, players will face challenges and make decisions that reflect the historical and social conditions of the time.

The game should have a board, game pieces, and challenge/decision cards that reflect historical events of the time. These events should be clearly linked to the westward expansion in the United States and the independence of Latin American nations.

• Materials for building the board (cardboard, colored paper, markers, etc.).
• Materials for making the pieces and cards (paper, pens, glue, etc.).
• Research material (books, articles, internet access, etc.).

4. Game Testing (approximately 2 hours): Play the game a few times to ensure the rules work and the game is fun and informative.
