Sports is a reflection of our society and, therefore, ethics in sports is fundamental to promote a fairer and more egalitarian society. In sports, as in life, ethics helps us guide our behavior and make decisions according to what we consider fair and right. Thus, studying ethics in sports allows us to better understand the importance of ethics in our own behavior and in the decisions we make every day.

However, for sports to serve these higher purposes, we must ensure that it is practiced ethically, both from a personal and institutional point of view.

It is an issue that requires constant consideration from all involved, from athletes and coaches to fans and sports organizations managers. In the current scenario, when ethical and integrity issues are increasingly at the center of public debate, it is crucial that students understand the importance of ethics in sports and are prepared to make ethical decisions in their own lives.

Title: Simulating Ethics in Sports: A Role-Playing Game

Project Objective

The objective is to promote a deeper understanding of how ethics applies to sports through an interactive simulation.

Detailed Project Description

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 people. Each group will be responsible for developing and presenting a simulation of a sports scenario that highlights ethical issues in sports. This scenario may be related to game situations, sports organizations management, players and their relationships with fans or the media, among others.

Groups should research and explore the topics: Fair Play, Respect for the Opponent, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Equal Opportunities, and Fight Against Discrimination, delving into at least four of them. In addition, the project should involve knowledge from two other disciplines - we recommend Philosophy, for a greater understanding of ethics, and Sociology, to understand the social impact of sports.

After the presentation, the group should analyze the ethical aspects presented, explain how they apply to the simulated situation, and discuss possible solutions to the ethical dilemmas presented.

Necessary Materials

1. Internet access for research.
2. Writing material (notebook, pen) or digital (computer, tablet) for notes and report elaboration.
3. Material for the simulation presentation (may vary according to the group's creativity - posters, costumes, sports items, etc).

3. Simulation planning: groups must determine how the situation will be presented and which ethical aspects will be highlighted.
4. Execution and presentation of the simulation to the class.
5. Discussion and analysis of the ethical aspects presented in the simulation.
6. Writing the final project report.

1. Simulation presentation: The group will present the simulation to the class, where all planned aspects should be demonstrated and explained.
2. Final report: After the presentation, the group must produce a report that addresses the following points:

• Introduction: The report should start with a contextualization of the theme and the relevance of ethics in sports, the project's objective, and the description of the chosen simulation.
• Development: Here, the group should detail the theory behind the ethical aspects addressed, the methodology used for the simulation, and present the results of the discussion and analysis conducted after the simulation.
• Conclusion: The report should conclude by summarizing the main points, explaining the learnings obtained, and drawing conclusions about the project.
• Bibliography: The group should indicate all sources consulted during the project.
