Project Objective

The objective of this project is the practical and contextualized application of the compound conditional in a theater play written and performed by the students themselves. In this way, they will be able to deeply understand the grammar of the compound conditional while enhancing their socio-emotional skills in a playful and collaborative setting.

Project Description

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5, and each group will be responsible for developing a theater play where the compound conditional should be widely used. The play should take place in a Spanish-speaking country of the students' choice, in order to include cultural aspects of these countries.

There will be four main stages in the completion of this project: Research, Scriptwriting, Staging, and Documentation.

1. Research: Students will conduct research on the compound conditional, its rules, exceptions, and uses. They should also research the country where the play will take place, including cultural aspects, historical sites, and local customs that can be incorporated into the script.
2. Scriptwriting: Students will write a script for the theater play, making extensive use of the compound conditional. They should create situations where the use of this verb tense is natural and coherent.
3. Staging: After the script is approved by the teacher, students will rehearse and stage the play. The play can be recorded or performed live for the class.
4. Documentation: Students will write a detailed report on the project, including the research, scriptwriting, and staging stages, as well as reflections on what they learned in the process.

Development: Students should detail all stages of the project, explain clearly and precisely the theory of the compound conditional, the research and scriptwriting process, the preparation and staging of the play, indicating the methodology used. Additionally, they should discuss the results obtained, such as the audience's reaction, the feedback received, and the difficulties encountered.

Conclusion: In this section, students should indicate the main learnings, explaining how the compound conditional was used and which socio-emotional skills were developed during the project.

Bibliography: Students should list all sources used during the project, whether books, web pages, videos, among others.

Given the level of complexity and the number of topics covered, it is estimated that each student will invest more than 12 hours in the project.
