Introduction

Portuguese, like any language, is an extremely complex and rich tool used to inform, express emotions, give orders, ask questions, and many other functions. One of the most essential parts of this tool is the pronoun. Pronouns are words that replace, precede, or accompany a noun. These can be classified into various types and each of them has a specific role in constructing a discourse. This project will explore 3 categories of these pronouns - Personal, Possessive, and Demonstrative. We will delve into their particularities, their uses, and their applications.

The second pillar of our project is teamwork. This is a vital skill nowadays in almost every area of life. Developing the ability to communicate your ideas effectively, learning to listen to others, resolving conflicts, and contributing to the achievement of a common goal are essential for success both in personal and professional life.

Contextualization

Think about how we use language in our daily lives. Pronouns are everywhere, from a simple conversation to complex texts in exams like ENEM, ENADE, college entrance exams, among others. Deeply understanding the role and functioning of pronouns can greatly improve your text interpretation and writing skills - essential skills in virtually all professional careers and university admission tests.

Furthermore, teamwork is an increasingly valued skill. Companies from all areas seek candidates who can work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and solve problems together. Learning these skills can give you a significant advantage in today's world.

Activity

Activity Title: "Inside the World of Pronouns: A Journey of Learning and Collaboration"

Project Objective

The objective of this project is to allow students to deepen their knowledge of personal, possessive, and demonstrative pronouns and put into practice their collaboration and teamwork skills.

Detailed Project Description

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 people, and each group must create a "Book, Puppet Theater, and a Documentary" about personal, possessive, and demonstrative pronouns. As support for the three mentioned achievements, students must conduct adequate research on the topics and work collaboratively to evenly distribute responsibilities and tasks.

1. Book: Students must write and illustrate an educational children's book about personal, possessive, and demonstrative pronouns. The book should be engaging and easy to understand for children aged 7 to 10.

2. Puppet Theater: Students create a script and perform a puppet show, integrating the use of pronouns in dialogues for action and character portrayal.

3. Documentary: Students record a documentary where they explain, through examples and illustrations, the grammatical rules of personal, possessive, and demonstrative pronouns, their characteristics, examples, and any exceptions.

Required Materials

• Paper, pencils, colored pens, and other materials for writing and illustrating the book.
• Puppets (which can be made of paper, fabric, etc.) or objects to serve as characters in the play.
• Cell phone, camera, or other device to record the documentary.
• Computer with video editing software (can be any free and easy-to-use one).
• Grammar books, internet access, videos, etc. for research.

Detailed Step-by-Step

1. Form groups of 3 to 5 students and assign responsibilities and tasks to each member.
2. Research deeply about personal, possessive, and demonstrative pronouns. Use the provided list of resources and also look for other books, websites, and videos.
3. Write a script for the book, puppet theater, and documentary.
4. Write and illustrate the educational children's book.
5. Create characters and scenarios for the puppet theater and rehearse the play.
6. Record and edit the documentary.
7. Upon completing all steps, write a document containing: Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography used.

Deliverables: At the end of the project, each group must present the book, puppet theater, and documentary to the class. Additionally, each student individually must write a report detailing the entire process of creating the pieces, their reflections on teamwork, and what they learned during the project.

In the Introduction of the report, students must contextualize the importance of pronouns in language and the project's objective.

In the Development, they should describe in detail the theory of pronouns, explain the activities carried out, the methodology used, and discuss the results obtained.

The Conclusion should summarize the main points learned, reflect on the teamwork process, and the lessons learned.

The Bibliography should list all sources used for research and project execution.

This project should take more than twelve hours per student to be executed, covering various topics, mainly involving the subjects of Portuguese and Arts.
