Project Objective

Students will research different dance styles, create their own choreography inspired by a chosen style, and perform a final presentation.

Detailed Project Description

Groups (of 3 to 5 students) will embark on a journey of investigation, self-expression, and artistic representation in the form of dance. They will conduct research on different dance styles, choosing one to create and present a choreography.

Required Materials

1. Internet access for research.
2. Adequate space for dance practice.
3. Materials for report preparation (computer, paper, pens, etc.).
4. Camera or cellphone for recording the final presentation.

Detailed Step-by-Step for Activity Execution

1. Research: Groups should research different dance styles, taking into account their origin, cultural significance, characteristic movements, and notable artists/groups of that style. Each group should choose a style to deepen their studies.

2. Choreography Planning: Based on the studies conducted, groups should create a choreography inspired by the chosen dance style. It is important that the choreography contains elements that refer to the specific characteristics of the style in question.

3. Rehearsals: Once the choreography is defined, groups should rehearse for the final presentation. During rehearsals, students will have the opportunity to develop skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.

4. Final Presentation: Groups should record the final presentation of their choreography on video. The presentation should be between 5 and 10 minutes.

5. Report Preparation: Finally, groups should prepare a detailed project report. The report should follow the format of Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography.

   • In the Introduction, students should contextualize the theme of dance, its relevance and application in the real world, as well as the project's objective.

   • In the Development, they should explain the theory behind the chosen dance style, detail the process of choreography creation and rehearsal, the methodology used, and present the final result (including a link to the video of the presentation).

   • In the Conclusions, they should reflect on the main points of the project, as well as the learnings and conclusions drawn.

   • In the Bibliography, they should list all sources consulted during the project.
