Project Objective

The objective of this project is to stimulate students to investigate and understand more deeply about absolutist monarchies. For this purpose, students will create a simulation of a fictional absolutist monarchy, where they will develop political, economic, social, and cultural aspects of this system. The creation will be done in groups of 3 to 5 students.

Project Description

Students will be divided into groups, and each group will be tasked with creating a fictional absolutist monarchy, with its own history, political organization, economy, culture, among other aspects.

The project will include the creation of a country map, the development of a timeline with the main historical events, the definition of social classes, creation of the legal system, definition of the main economic resources, description of the country's customs and traditions, among other details.

Additionally, students will have to justify the choices made for their country and explain how these choices reflect the characteristics of absolutist monarchies.

1. Paper (A3 or larger) for the map and timeline
2. Colored pencils, colored pens, etc. for illustration
3. Computer with internet connection for research
4. History books, if available
5. Writing materials (paper and pen or computer)

Step by Step

1. Research: Initially, students should conduct a detailed research on absolutist monarchies, focusing on the defining characteristics. It is recommended to take notes during this stage.

2. Creation of the Monarchy: Next, students should start planning their fictional absolutist monarchy. It is important that the choices made are justified based on the research conducted.

3. Drawing the Map and Timeline: Based on the planning, students should draw the map of their country and create a timeline with the main historical events.

4. Writing the Report: After creating the absolutist monarchy, students should write a detailed report detailing its creation. In this report, they should:
