Contextualization
The regular practice of physical exercises brings innumerable benefits to our body and our health, from the strengthening of muscles and bones to the improvement of our mood and disposition. With this project, we hope that you can understand more deeply how physical exercise impacts our body.
Introduction
Our body is a complex machine that needs to be constantly moved and exercised. When we perform physical exercises, different systems of our body are activated and work together to provide us with the best possible performance. The cardiovascular system, for example, increases the heart rate to provide more oxygen and energy to our muscles. The muscular system, through muscle contractions, provides the necessary movement to perform the exercise.
Even after exercise, our body continues to work. It has to recover the damaged muscles, eliminate the toxins produced during exercise and replenish the energy spent. That is why we feel pain and tiredness after an intense workout, but it is also why we feel a sense of well-being and satisfaction.
Contextualization
In the world we live in, increasingly sedentary and dominated by technologies that encourage us to stay still, understanding the importance of physical activity for our health is fundamental. And we are not only talking about aesthetics or sports performance. We are talking about quality of life, disease prevention, mental well-being.
Physical exercise is an investment we make in ourselves. It provides us with a healthier and more active life, improves our mood and self-esteem, and gives us more energy and willingness to face the day to day.
Practical Activity
Title: "The Body in Motion"
Project Objectives:
- To understand the importance of physical exercises for the development of the body
- To understand the different systems of the human body and how they work together during physical activity
- To develop research skills, teamwork and presentation
Detailed Project Description:
Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 people. Each group will choose a type of physical exercise (swimming, running, cycling, soccer, etc.) to research and perform. During the research and execution of the exercise, students should focus on the following topics:
- How does this exercise affect the cardiovascular, respiratory and muscular systems?
- What are the benefits and possible risks of this physical activity?
- What are the changes that occur in the body after regular practice of this exercise?
- What is the importance of nutrition and hydration before and after exercise?
Necessary Materials:
- Books and internet for research
- Appropriate clothing for practicing the exercise
- Equipment necessary for performing the chosen exercise
Step by step to carry out the activity:
- Form your group and choose a type of exercise to research and perform.
- Research the chosen exercise and the suggested topics.
- Plan and perform the chosen exercise, following the best practices identified in the research.
- Organize the information obtained and write a report, as detailed below.
Project Delivery:
After performing the physical exercise, each team must prepare a report that must contain:
1. Introduction
Explain which exercise was chosen and why. Contextualize the importance of physical exercise and how it relates to the health and well-being of the human body.
2. Development
Here, students should report on the chosen physical activity, its impacts on the body systems, benefits, risks and any other relevant observations. The research methodology used should also be explained in detail and the results obtained discussed.
3. Conclusions
Summarize what was learned, how the exercises affect the human body, the importance of regular physical activity and what conclusions were drawn from the project.
4. Bibliography
Indicate all sources of information used during the project: books, websites, videos, among others.
Remember: the clarity and detail of the information are fundamental to understand how physical exercise interacts with the human body, therefore, be as detailed as possible in your report.
