However, they are formed by more than one word. For example, in the sentence 'We live in harmony with nature,' the adverbial phrase 'in harmony' indicates the way we live.

The correct use of adverbs and adverbial phrases is fundamental for efficient and precise communication. Knowing how to use these grammatical elements helps to transition between ideas fluently, to add information to our speech or writing, and to make them clearer and more understandable to the interlocutor.

Activity Title: 'Adverbial Adventure: A Journey through the Portuguese Language'

Project Objective:

The purpose of this project is for students to deepen and consolidate their knowledge of adverbs and adverbial phrases in a playful and cooperative context. Additionally, they should explore interdisciplinarity, relating the Portuguese language to the discipline of Arts in creating a board game.

Detailed Project Description:

Students, in groups of 3 to 5, will create a board game in which they advance through the correct identification and classification of adverbs and adverbial phrases in sentences.

Groups have the freedom to create the rules, design, and theme of the game. However, the main mechanics should be based on questions and answers about adverbs and adverbial phrases.

In each game, players must face situations that test their knowledge on the following topics:

1. Identification of adverbs in a sentence.
2. Classification of adverbs (place, manner, time, intensity, doubt, affirmation, negation).
3. Identification of adverbial phrases in a sentence.
4. Classification of adverbial phrases (place, manner, time, cause, purpose, condition, etc.).

Required Materials:

• Cardboard or cardstock for the base of the board;
• Colored pens, colored pencils, markers, etc;
• Paper for making cards with questions and answers;
• Pieces to mark the players' positions on the board (can be small objects, coins, pieces from old games, etc.).

Detailed Step-by-Step for Activity Execution:

1. Study and Research: The group of students should revisit the content on adverbs and adverbial phrases, using the resources indicated in the introduction and others they find.

2. Board Creation: Choose the shape of the board (it can be a linear path, a circle, a maze, etc.) and draw it on the chosen base. Decorate the board according to the game's theme.
