Project Objective

The objective of this project is for students to develop an opinion article collaboratively, discussing, arguing, and constructing a text together. Additionally, it is expected that students will be able to identify and evaluate opinion articles, distinguishing facts from opinions and the argumentative strategies used.

Detailed Project Description

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group will be responsible for choosing a current and relevant topic for society, on which they must write an opinion article. The article should follow the classic structure of an opinion article, that is, introduction, development, and conclusion.

The first stage of the project will be dedicated to research and discussion on the chosen topic. Students should gather information about the subject, seek different points of view, and arguments that can be used in the article.

The second stage will be the writing of the text. Students should organize their ideas, develop the thesis of their article, and develop convincing arguments in favor of their thesis. The writing process should be collaborative, with all group members actively participating.

The third and final stage will be the critical analysis of opinion articles from other groups. Each group will receive an article from another group and should analyze it, identifying the thesis, the arguments used, and discussing how convincing they are.
