Project Objective

The project's objective is to research and develop an interactive guide on verbs, their nominal forms, and mode inflections. Students should associate these concepts with the history discipline, exploring the evolution of the Portuguese language and its influence on the use of verbs, their inflections, and nominal forms.

Detailed Description

Students, divided into groups of 3 to 5, will have the mission of creating an interactive guide, in the form of a board game. The player will move through the path according to the correct answers given to questions about verbs, their nominal forms, and mode inflections. The guide should also include theoretical summaries and practical examples of the themes.

In parallel with the game development, students should research the history of the Portuguese language, identifying moments when relevant changes occurred in the use of verbs and their nominal forms and mode inflections, and include this information coherently and creatively in the game dynamics.

Required Materials

• Cardboard or cardboard for making the board,
• Colored paper for questions and answers,
• Scissors,
• Colored pens,
• Glue,
• Dice,
• Pieces to represent the players (e.g., bottle caps, Lego pieces, etc.),
• Books and/or internet access for research.

Step by Step

1. The groups should divide tasks for theoretical research, creativity in question and answer development, board assembly, game rules, and historical research.
2. After defining the tasks, students should start the theoretical and historical research, selecting relevant information for the game creation.
3. Simultaneously, the group should begin sketching the board structure, defining the game rules and how information on verbs and history will be presented.
4. As they progress in their research, students should create the questions and answers to be used in the game.
5. With all necessary information and the game structure defined, students can start assembling the board, writing questions and answers, and including historical curiosities.
6. After completing the game assembly, students should test the game's functionality, making corrections if necessary.
7. With the game ready, the groups should make a presentation to the class, explaining the game rules and sharing the knowledge acquired during the theoretical and historical research. Each group should play the other group's game to test the acquired knowledge.

Project Deliverables

• Board game about verbs, their nominal forms, and mode inflections, associated with the history of the Portuguese language.
• Oral presentation of the game and the concepts learned during the theoretical and historical research.

In addition, each group should produce a report on the project. The report should follow the following structure:

• Introduction: Succinct description of the project, its objective, and its relevance.
• Development: Detailed explanation of the theoretical and historical research, the methodology used to develop the game, the challenges encountered and how they were overcome, description of the game and how it works.
• Conclusions: Reflect on the learning acquired during the project development, discuss the practical applicability of the concepts learned, and indicate paths for future research or game improvements.
• Bibliography: Indicate the sources used during the theoretical and historical research.
