They are essential for visualizing patterns, trends, and relationships between data. However, choosing the most appropriate type of graph to represent a set of data is a crucial skill for effectively communicating the desired information.
When dealing with graphs, it is necessary to understand the basic components, such as the X-axis (independent variable) and Y-axis (dependent variable), units of measurement, scale, and legends, as well as to identify which format is most suitable for representing a particular set of data. For example, a line graph may be more appropriate for showing a trend over time, while a bar graph may be better for comparing quantities.
With this project, you will explore in practice the concept of graph adjustments, using real-world data. In the business world, for example, graphs are used to visualize sales performance, market variations, customer satisfaction survey results, among other things. In science, they are essential for representing results of experiments, observations, and simulations. In our daily lives, we encounter graphs in news, weather reports, infographics, and much more.

Detailed Project Description
In this project, students will collect data on a topic of interest to the group, such as temperature variation throughout the year, classmates' music preferences, the amount of waste generated in their homes during a week, etc. After collecting the data, students should analyze it and choose the most appropriate type of graph to represent it, justifying their choice. Then, students will create the graph and present their findings to the class.
