Coherence and cohesion are two fundamental concepts in the construction of a well-structured and understandable text. Coherence is related to the internal logic of the text, which needs to make sense as a whole, while cohesion refers to the connection between sentences and words, ensuring the text's fluency.

To create a coherent text, it is necessary that all presented ideas are connected and make sense together. This involves a logical organization of thoughts that should be clear to the reader. As for cohesion, it is necessary to know and correctly apply the various linguistic mechanisms that provide the interconnection between the words, sentences, and paragraphs of a text.

Both concepts are essential for writing, and their understanding and proper practice are essential for the construction of quality texts, regardless of their nature: argumentative, narrative, descriptive, instructive, expository, or argumentative.

In our daily lives, coherence and cohesion are essential to ensure fluency and understanding in any form of communication. Whether in an informal conversation, a professional presentation, or an academic text, it is vital that the content is presented in an organized manner, and that the ideas are interconnected, thus ensuring the understanding of listeners or readers.

Mastering coherence and cohesion is a skill that goes beyond the classroom, expanding students' communication abilities and allowing them to express themselves clearly and efficiently in any situation. In this sense, practicing these concepts helps us to be heard, understood, and consequently successful in our communication goals.

Detailed Project Description:

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group will be responsible for creating an original story. The theme and characters are of free choice, but the narrative must meet some requirements: be clear, cohesive, coherent, and engaging.

To achieve this, before writing the story, the groups will have to research the concepts of cohesion and coherence, studying examples of cohesive and coherent texts, as well as techniques and strategies for applying these concepts.

After the research, the groups should develop a plot that can be told in a text of about 500 words. This text should be a clear and practical representation of the concepts of coherence and cohesion.

Required Materials:

• Computer or paper for writing the text;
• Pens, pencils, and erasers;
• Textbooks, internet, and other resources for research.
