Project Objective

Detailed Project Description

Students, in groups of 3 to 5, will choose an artistic movement or a specific artist and analyze how their works reflect the society of the time, or how they may have influenced society later.

This activity will consist of two main parts: research and presentation.

Part 1: Research

Students will research the historical, social, political, and economic context of the chosen artistic movement or artist. They should look for representative works of art and investigate how they reflect or potentially influence society.

Part 2: Presentation

Each group will create a visual presentation that should include representative images of the artworks, along with an explanatory text discussing the relationships between art and society explored in their research. In addition, students are encouraged to make connections with current events or trends.

Required Materials

1. Computer with internet access for research.
2. Materials to conduct the presentation (Presentation software such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Prezi).

Detailed Step-by-Step

1. Group Formation: Form groups of 3 to 5 students.
2. Theme Selection: Each group should choose an artistic movement or a specific artist to research.
3. Research: Conduct a detailed research on the social, political, economic, and historical context of the chosen artistic movement or artist.
4. Analysis of Artworks: Analyze representative artworks of that movement or artist and discuss how they reflect or potentially influenced society.
5. Presentation Creation: Develop a visual presentation that includes representative images of the artworks and an explanatory text discussing the relationship between art and society.

Project Delivery
