It deals with the interpretation of historical events, understanding of decisions made in the present, and prediction of future orientations of political entities. Thus, Geopolitics enters the field of international politics, economy, history, political science, and geography.

Understanding the concepts of world geopolitics is fundamental to comprehend how States are structured and how relations between them occur. All of this has a direct and indirect impact on the daily life of all inhabitants of the planet, in various aspects such as economy, culture, and mobility.

In this sense, such study allows us to see beyond the borders of our country and understand the world as a complex and interrelated system. Furthermore, it enables us to critically analyze world events and international news.

Next, we will present the activity that will allow deepening the knowledge about world geopolitics, its ramifications, and its impact on our daily life.

Theoretical Introduction

Geopolitics studies the influence of geographical characteristics (size, location, climate, topography, and natural resources) on international political relations. It is a multidisciplinary science that involves, among other things, political geography, strategy, and human geography.

There are different geopolitical theories, each with its perspectives and justifications for the existence of conflicts and alliances between countries. In all of them, however, power is central: who has it, how it is used, and how it is distributed globally.

Among these topics, one of special relevance is the analysis of the actions of international corporations and world economic organizations. These entities have a strong impact on people's lives in terms of consumption, culture, and mobility, thus being essential to their understanding in the context of geopolitical studies.

Practical Activity

Title: Corporations and World Economic Organizations: Their Impact on Daily Life

Project Objective:

To deepen students' understanding of the influence of international corporations and world economic organizations on daily life, in relation to consumption, culture, and mobility.

Detailed Project Description:

Groups should choose an international corporation (e.g., Apple, Coca-Cola, Toyota) or a world economic organization (e.g., World Bank, IMF, WTO) to study. They should research and analyze how the presence and actions of these entities influence people's lives, especially in terms of consumption, culture, and mobility.

Students should research:

1. The history and main activities of the chosen entity
2. How the entity relates to different countries and regions of the world
3. The direct and indirect impacts of this entity on the daily life of different populations

The groups will create a multimedia presentation (could be a PowerPoint, a video, a Prezi, etc.) to display their findings.

Required Materials:

• Computer with internet access for research.
• Presentation creation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi, etc.)

Step by Step:

1. Formation of groups of 3 to 5 students.
2. Selection of the international corporation or world economic organization to be analyzed.
3. Research on the chosen entity: history, main activities, global relations, etc.
4. Analysis of the entity's impacts on daily life, especially in terms of consumption, culture, and mobility.
5. Creation of a multimedia presentation showing the group's findings.
6. Preparation of a report in the form of an article, containing: Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography.
7. Presentation of the results to the class.

Project Deliverables:

In addition to the multimedia presentation, students must deliver a written article following this format:

1. Introduction: Contextualize the theme, its relevance and real-world application, and the purpose of this project.
2. Development: Explain the theory behind world geopolitics and how the selected corporation/world economic organization fits into this structure. Detailed description of the activity carried out, indicating the methodology used and the results obtained.
3. Conclusions: Conclude the work by summarizing its main points, explaining the learnings obtained, and drawing conclusions from the project.
4. Bibliography: Indicate the sources of information used in the project, such as books, web pages, videos, etc.

The multimedia presentation and the written article should complement each other, each showing different aspects of the group's findings and analyses.
