Activity Title: Exploring Oceania

Project Objective:

The objective of this project is to allow students to explore and learn more about Oceania, taking into consideration specific aspects of the continent, such as its biodiversity, culture, and geographical importance.

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 participants, and each group must choose a country in Oceania to focus on. The groups will be encouraged to work together and present their findings in a creative way.

This activity is expected to last approximately one month, with an estimated working time for each student between five and ten hours.

The completion of this activity will involve the presentation of a detailed written report, following the structure of Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography used.

Detailed Activity Description:

1. Research: Each group must research the chosen country, focusing on the following topics:

• Country's geography (physical characteristics, location, climate, etc.).
• Biodiversity (types of animals, plants, and endemic ecosystems).
• Local culture (traditions, languages, religions, etc.).
• Geopolitical importance.

2. Preparation of a Digital Presentation: Based on the research conducted, each group must prepare a digital presentation (using presentation tools such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi, etc.). The presentation should be creative and engaging, including images, videos, or any other relevant multimedia resources. The presentation should cover all the research topics mentioned above.

3. Preparation of a Written Report: The report should follow the format of a research article and detail everything that was studied. It should include the following topics:

• Introduction: Description of the chosen country and justification for the choice. Geographical and cultural contextualization. Importance of this study for understanding Oceania.
• Development: Detailed explanation of the research topics. Explanation of the findings, focusing on the relationship between geography and people's lives in the country.
• Conclusions: Recap of the main findings. Reflections on the impact of these findings and their relevance for understanding the continent.
• Bibliography: Citation of all sources used during the research.

Required Materials:

• Internet access for research.
• Digital presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi, etc.).
• Writing tools (Word, Google Docs, etc.).
