International corporations and global economic organizations play a crucial role in this dynamic, influencing the distribution of resources and access to technology.

To understand inequality in the globalized world, it is also important to consider the cultural manifestations of ethnic minorities and their relationship with power and resources. Respect for differences and cultural diversity are fundamental principles for promoting equality and social justice in the globalized world, while inequalities can manifest through the marginalization and exclusion of these cultures.

In countries with large income disparities, for example, it is more likely that low-income people will have limited access to quality education, which can perpetuate a cycle of poverty. In addition, inequality can contribute to political and social tensions, leading to instability and even violence.

For example, the decisions of multinational companies can affect the prices of the products they buy and the job opportunities available to them and their families. Additionally, they may see the influence of globalization in their own community, through the presence of cultures and products from different parts of the world.

Practical Activity

Activity Title: "Map of Inequality: The Role of Global Corporations and Cultural Diversity."

Project Objective

This project aims to empower students to understand and analyze inequality in the globalized world, with a special focus on the role of international corporations and the importance of cultural diversity. By the end of this project, students should be able to apply their theoretical knowledge to evaluate and discuss these topics critically.

Detailed Project Description

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 people. The project will involve research, data analysis, chart and map creation, group discussions, and written reports. This work is estimated to last more than 12 hours per student and should address at least four key theoretical topics or concepts.

• Drawing and painting materials for creating maps and charts (computer software can also be used)
• Paper and pen for notes and the final report

Step-by-Step Guide for the Activity

1. Theoretical Research: Each group of students should conduct research on global inequality, focusing especially on the role played by international corporations and the cultural manifestations of ethnic minorities.

2. Data Analysis: Students should seek data on inequality (such as income inequality indicators, poverty rates, access to education and health), as well as information on the operations of large international corporations (such as investments, labor practices), and data on cultural diversity in the world.

3. Creation of Charts and Thematic Maps: Based on the collected data, students should create bar and pie charts and develop thematic maps that visually represent inequality around the world. These visualizations should highlight the role of international corporations and cultural diversity.

4. Group Discussion: Students should discuss in groups the conclusions they were able to draw from the collected data and created visualizations. They should also discuss how international corporations and cultural diversity influence inequality and how these factors are interconnected.

5. Writing the Final Report: Finally, each group should prepare a written report including an introduction contextualizing the theme, the development of the work, the conclusions drawn, and the bibliography used. The report should follow the structure suggested at the beginning of this activity.

The project will be completed with the delivery of two main items: the created charts and thematic maps, and the written report.
