To begin, it is valid to understand a little about the pre-revolution context. Pre-revolutionary Russia was an Empire, with a vast territory and a diverse population. However, the majority of the population was made up of poor peasants, there was great social dissatisfaction, and the country was immersed in a draining war.
In this scenario, the Bolsheviks emerged, led by Lenin, who advocated Marx's communism, proposing a proletarian revolution. When the revolution broke out in 1917, the Bolsheviks were able to seize power and begin building a socialist society. However, the transition was not smooth, and the regime faced resistance both internally and externally.
