Studies on World War II are essential to understand such changes, as well as to value efforts towards a fairer and more peaceful world.
Analyzing these events helps us comprehend how extremist ideologies can arise and spread, leading to unimaginable levels of destruction, violence, and human rights violations. It also provides a context to discuss and reflect on current issues such as genocide, xenophobia, racism, sexism, colonialism, violence, and the importance of institutions that protect human rights.
With this project, we aim to deepen our knowledge about World War II by conducting detailed research on the main facts, events, and characters, as well as analyzing the impact and repercussions of the conflict to this day. Therefore, in addition to addressing historical events, we will also discuss the causes and consequences of these events, reflecting on their implications in today's society.

This project aims to provide students with a deep understanding of World War II and its intricate political, social, cultural, and geostrategic relations and connections. To do so, groups will research and recreate a key aspect of World War II in a playful manner, thus aiding in the understanding of the events.

The proposal is for each group to select one of the proposed topics below to creatively and interactively explore, being able to produce board games, theatrical pieces, short films, or podcasts:
- The rise of Hitler in Germany
- The invasion of Poland
- The Battle of Stalingrad
- The Yalta and Potsdam Conferences
- The Holocaust
- The Normandy Landing (D-Day)
- The Attack on Pearl Harbor and the U.S. entry into the War
- The Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
- The French Resistance
- Resistance movements in Africa and Asia
Required Materials
The necessary materials vary according to the chosen option for presenting the project: resources to create the games, costumes for the theatrical piece, camera for filming and editing the short film, or equipment for recording and editing the podcast.
Detailed Step-by-Step for Activity Completion
- Group Formation: Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 people.
- Topic Selection: Each group will select one of the available topics to develop the project.
- Research: Students must conduct extensive research on the chosen topic.

Students should explain the theory behind the central theme of the project, detail the creation of the game, theatrical piece, short film, or podcast, indicate the methodology used, and finally present and discuss the results obtained.
Conclusions
Students should conclude the work by summarizing its main points, explaining the learnings obtained, and drawing conclusions about the project and World War II.
Bibliography
Students should list all sources used for the project, such as books, web pages, videos, etc.
The final project delivery will consist of presenting the games, theatrical pieces, short films, or podcasts, as well as submitting the written report.
This project requires about 12 hours of work per student and involves extensive historical research and material analysis, taking into account various disciplines, including History, Geography, Social Sciences, Arts, and Portuguese Language.
