The Portuguese language is a complex system of meanings, where each part is interconnected. To be effective in communication, it is essential to understand how these parts come together to form a cohesive whole. In this sense, textual cohesion and the use of pronouns are essential for the construction of a clear, concise, and coherent text.

Textual cohesion is a linguistic resource that ensures the connection and harmony between the parts of a text. It is what makes a text a text, and not simply a random collection of sentences. The proper use of pronouns significantly contributes to textual cohesion, replacing nouns and avoiding redundancies.

Pronouns are words that replace or accompany nouns, indicating the discourse persons or situating them in space and time. When used correctly, pronouns help to avoid excessive repetitions and make the text more fluid and pleasant to read.

In the real world, cohesion is fundamental for any type of communication. Whether in a corporate email, an academic dissertation, a novel, or even in our daily conversations, the ability to connect ideas clearly and organizedly is an essential skill. Practical Activity

Activity Title: "Decoding Cohesion: The Power of Pronouns"

Project Objective

The objective of this project is to provide an in-depth understanding of textual cohesion and how pronouns, as cohesive elements, contribute to the creation of a clear and fluid text.

Students will work in groups of 3 to 5 people to explore the concept of textual cohesion and pronouns, and create a "Guide to Using Pronouns in Textual Cohesion". The guide should be didactic, creative, and visual, containing examples of the use of different pronouns and how they contribute to textual cohesion.

Detailed Description

1. Study of reference material: Each group must read and discuss the suggested consultation materials to familiarize themselves with the theory of pronouns and textual cohesion.

2. Task division: Groups must divide responsibilities among their members for the guide's elaboration. This includes research, content creation, guide design, textual review, etc.

3. Content development: Based on their studies, groups must create the guide's content. It should explain what textual cohesion is and how pronouns contribute to it, and should include practical examples illustrating their points.

4. Guide Design: Groups must use digital tools of their choice to create the guide in a visually appealing and didactic way.

5. Review and Editing: Before submitting the work, groups must review and edit the guide to ensure the quality of content and design.

2. Guide to Using Pronouns in Textual Cohesion: The guide should be clear, didactic, creative, and visual, with examples of using different pronouns and how they contribute to textual cohesion.

The two documents are interconnected: the report will illustrate the research and understanding process, the choice of examples inserted in the guide, the design strategy used, the discussions that arose during group work, and finally, their conclusions and what they learned from the experience.
