What is 'Be'?

The word 'be' is special! It helps us say who or what someone is, like 'I am a student.' It also tells us how someone feels, like 'She is happy.' We use it to talk about now and the past.

When you talk about yourself, you use 'I am'. It helps you tell people who you are or how you feel. For example, 'I am a happy kid!' or 'I am 6 years old.'
