Section role: supports the formalization of creative writing concepts during the synthesis discussion, bridging the group challenge from Section 2 to the individual workshop in Section 4. Slides: (1) Title — 'The Ingredients of a Great Tale'; (2) Story Elements — bullets: introducing Setting, Characters, and Plot using examples from the students' 5-minute before and after sequences; (3) Conflict as the Engine — bullets: defining the problem that drives the story forward with a class example; (4) Show, Don't Tell — bullets: definition and comparison showing telling ('the boy was scared') versus showing ('the boy's knees knocked together'); (5) Video Pause — screen prompt introducing the Creative Writing 101 video and discussing perfectionism; (6) Closing slide — 'What is the conflict in your favorite story?' — handing control back to the teacher for workshop preparation.
