Contexto Regional de los 90

América Latina experimentó un auge neoliberal y el Consenso de Washington, promoviendo la apertura económica. Esto impulsó la integración comercial, ejemplificada por el TLCAN, transformando la región.

El TLC-G3 fue firmado el 13 de junio de 1994 por los presidentes Gaviria (Colombia), Salinas (México) y Caldera (Venezuela). Entró en vigor el 1 de enero de 1995, marcando un hito en la integración económica regional.

Objetivos Centrales del TLC-G3

• Establecer zona de libre comercio (México-Colombia).
