Tuberculosis (TB)
- Description: TB is a disease caused by bacteria that usually attacks the lungs. It can spread through the air when someone with TB coughs or sneezes.

- A bad cough that lasts for more than 2 weeks
- Chest pain
- Coughing up blood
- Weakness or fatigue
- Weight loss
- Fever and night sweats
- Treatment: TB is treated with antibiotics. It is important to take all the medicine exactly as the doctor tells you to, even if you start feeling better.

- Get vaccinated with the BCG vaccine, especially for babies.
- If you are coughing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow.
- Make sure there is fresh air in your house by opening windows.

Diarrhoea
- Description: Diarrhoea is when you have loose, watery stools (poo) more often than usual. It can be caused by germs from unclean food or water.
- Symptoms:
- Frequent, loose, watery stools
- Stomach cramps
- Nausea (feeling sick)
- Vomiting (throwing up)
- Dehydration (not enough water in your body)
- Treatment:
- Drink plenty of fluids like water, oral rehydration solution (ORS), or clear broth to prevent dehydration.
- Continue eating, but avoid sugary drinks.
- See a doctor if the diarrhoea is severe or doesn't get better after a few days.
- Prevention:
- Wash your hands with soap and water before eating and after using the toilet.
- Drink clean water. If you are not sure about the water, boil it first.
- Cook food properly and keep it covered.
- Use clean toilets.
Measles
- Description: Measles is a highly contagious disease caused by a virus. It spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
- Symptoms:
- Fever
- Runny nose
- Cough
- Red, watery eyes
- Small white spots inside the cheeks (Koplik spots)
- A rash of small, red spots that start on the face and spread to the rest of the body
- Treatment: There is no specific medicine to cure measles. Treatment focuses on relieving symptoms.

- Use a humidifier to ease a cough and sore throat
- Keep the room dark to reduce eye sensitivity
- Prevention:
- Get vaccinated with the measles vaccine (MMR vaccine). This is the best way to protect yourself and others from measles.
Malaria
- Description: Malaria is a disease caused by parasites that are spread to humans through the bites of infected mosquitoes.
- Symptoms:
- Fever
- Chills
- Sweats
- Headache
- Muscle aches
- Nausea and vomiting
- Treatment: Malaria is treated with antimalarial medicines. It is important to start treatment as soon as possible.
- Prevention:
- Use mosquito nets, especially while sleeping.
- Use insect repellent on your skin and clothing.
- Wear long sleeves and trousers, especially in the evening and at night.
- Close windows and doors or use screens to keep mosquitoes out.
- Get rid of standing water around your house, where mosquitoes can breed.
