Premisas: Este Plan de Clase Activa asume: una clase de 100 minutos de duración, estudio previo de los estudiantes tanto con el Libro, como con el inicio del desarrollo del Proyecto y que se elegirá una única actividad (entre las tres sugeridas) para realizarse durante la clase, ya que cada actividad está pensada para ocupar gran parte del tiempo disponible.

Objetivos

Duración: 10 - 15 minutes

Objetivos Principales:

1. Desarrollar la habilidad de adaptar el lenguaje y el estilo comunicativo según el interlocutor y el contexto, utilizando ejemplos de situaciones cotidianas.

2. Fomentar la empatía y el respeto en los intercambios comunicativos, entendiendo la importancia de la comunicación efectiva en el entorno escolar y familiar.

Duración: 10 - 15 minutes

This stage of the lesson plan aims to engage students by presenting relatable problem situations that they can connect with and reflect on their previous learning. By contextualizing the importance of effective communication through real-life examples, students will appreciate the relevance of adapting their communication styles. This will set a strong foundation for the activities that follow, encouraging students to actively think about how their words and actions can affect their interactions with diverse interlocutors.

Situación Problemática

1. Imagine that a student needs to explain a mathematical problem to a classmate who has never seen it before. How can they ensure their explanation is clear and easy to understand?

2. Consider a situation where a child is trying to ask their teacher for help on a project but is feeling nervous. What strategies could they use to communicate their needs effectively and respectfully?

Contextualización

Effective communication is a vital skill that students will use every day—in school, at home, and in the community. For instance, when telling a story to a friend, it’s important to adjust how they speak depending on whether they're chatting with a close friend or an adult. Learning to communicate differently in various contexts, such as being more formal in a classroom setting and relaxed at home, plays a crucial role in building strong relationships and resolving misunderstandings. This lesson aims to equip students with the tools they need to navigate these interactions smoothly, enhancing their social skills and developing empathy in every conversation they have.

Desarrollo

Duración: 70 - 80 minutes

The purpose of this stage of the lesson plan is to engage students actively in the learning process through collaborative and interactive activities. By working in groups, students will explore the nuances of communication with different interlocutors, applying their prior knowledge in a playful and meaningful way. This hands-on approach allows them to practice real-life communication scenarios, fostering empathy and respect while developing essential social skills. Each activity is designed to encourage critical thinking and creativity, solidifying their understanding of effective communication.

Actividad 1 - El Pasa Palabra del Diálogo

> Duración: 60 - 70 minutes

- Objetivo: To develop effective communication skills by adjusting language and style according to the interlocutor, fostering empathy and respect in conversations.

- Descripción: In this exciting game, students will participate in a modified 'Pasa Palabra' format focusing on communication styles. Each group will be given a set of scenarios where they must adapt their communication based on different interlocutors (like a friend, a teacher, or a relative). They will create mini-dialogues and act them out in front of the class, using appropriate language and tone for each situation.

- Instrucciones:

  • Divide the class into groups of up to 5 students.

  • Provide each group with a different scenario card that describes the context and the interlocutor they need to address.

  • Students brainstorm and prepare a short dialogue based on their scenario, adjusting their language and tone as appropriate for their assigned interlocutor.

  • Each group takes turns performing their dialogues for the rest of the class.

  • After each performance, the other students provide feedback on how well the group adapted their communication style.

  • Conclude with a class discussion about what they learned from each scenario and the importance of adapting language based on the audience.

Actividad 2 - Crea Tu Propio Cuento

> Duración: 60 - 70 minutes

- Objetivo: To enhance the ability to communicate effectively through narrative, adapting language and style based on different characters and contexts.

- Descripción: In this creative activity, students will write a short story in pairs, focusing on how different characters communicate with one another. They will need to think about who their characters are speaking to and how those relationships influence their words. After writing, they will share their stories with the class, encouraging discussion on communication styles.

- Instrucciones:

  • Form pairs of students and provide them with story prompts that include various characters and situations.

  • Students will write a short story that incorporates effective communication between their characters, keeping in mind the target audience for each character.

  • Once finished, students will present their stories to the class, focusing on how the character's language changes depending on who they are speaking to.

  • Encourage classmates to ask questions and provide feedback regarding the communication techniques used in the stories.

  • Wrap up with a discussion about the variety of communication styles and their effectiveness.

Actividad 3 - Role-Play: La Comunicación en Acción

- Instrucciones:

  • Create different role-play scenario cards that depict various situations, such as asking a teacher for help, talking to a grandparent, or discussing a sport with a friend.

  • Distribute the cards randomly among students in pairs.

  • Give students time to prepare their role-play dialogues, focusing on how their communication should adjust for the respective interlocutor.

  • Each pair will then perform their role-play in front of the class.

  • After each performance, the class can discuss what communication styles were used and how they could be improved.

  • Conclude with a reflection on the importance of adapting communication to different situations.

Duración: 15 - 20 minutes

The purpose of this feedback stage is to consolidate students' learning by reflecting on their experiences during the activities. This discussion will help students articulate their understanding of effective communication and how to adapt their styles based on their interlocutors. Sharing insights and reactions fosters a collaborative learning environment, allowing them to learn from each other’s experiences, reinforcing not only their comprehension but also their empathy and respect for diverse ways of interacting.

El propósito de esta etapa es consolidar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes al resumir lo que han explorado en la lección. Al reflexionar sobre las actividades y sus resultados, los estudiantes podrán relacionar los conceptos teóricos con aplicaciones prácticas en su vida diaria, entendiendo la importancia de una comunicación efectiva en su crecimiento personal y social.
