Deep Breathing and Mindfulness

1. Start by asking students to sit comfortably in their seats, with their feet flat on the ground and their hands resting on their laps.

2. Instruct them to close their eyes gently and take a deep breath in through their nose, filling their lungs completely.

3. Have them hold the breath for a moment, and then slowly exhale through their mouth, letting any tension melt away.

4. Encourage them to repeat this deep breathing pattern two more times, focusing solely on the sensation of their breath coming in and out.

5. After the third breath, ask students to open their eyes slowly and bring their awareness back to the classroom.

Las conclusiones no deben ser solo opiniones, sino reflexiones informadas que consideren el trasfondo de las personas que transmiten la información.

2. Es fundamental entender que las emociones influyen profundamente en cómo se percibe la comunicación. Por ejemplo, si una persona comparte una historia sobre sus dificultades en la vida, el escucha debe comprender que esa narración está cargada de emociones fuertes, tales como tristeza o frustración, que pueden alterar la manera en que se interpreta el mensaje.

En esta actividad, los estudiantes se dividirán en pequeños grupos y seleccionarán un tema social local que los involucre a ellos o a su comunidad, como la educación, la migración o la cultura. Cada grupo deberá explorar el tema desde diferentes perspectivas, identificando las emociones que podrían estar involucradas y cómo esas emociones podrían influir en las conclusiones que se generan. Utilizando tarjetas, los estudiantes ilustrarán diferentes emociones y compartirán sus reflexiones durante una exposición grupal.

1. Divida a los estudiantes en grupos pequeños de 4 a 5 personas.
